After this, Mayor Onion sends Turnip Boy on several quests, directing him around Veggieville and its surroundings, where Turnip Boy engages in numerous crimes.

He is chaotic neutral in nature, but also leans into chaotic evil. Whether or not he understands the severity of these crimes is unknown. Turnip Boy is considered a menace to society, and commits various crimes throughout his adventure. However, as the developer known as Yukon revealed, the foodfolk don't see very well, and Turnip Boy is actually a spider-like creature. Depending on player customization, Turnip Boy can wear a variety of different hats, or remove his leaves altogether. He carries a Soil Sword throughout most of his journey, but eventually discards it for the more versatile and powerful Shovel.
