The manufacturers ‘Lightspeed Outdoors’ clearly has a passion for camping and basically anything under the stars and strive to make outdoor living easy. This one is perfect if you are looking for something similar to our first pick, but a little more lightweight and easy to carry around with the convenience of a battery operated pump.

Next on our list is the Full size air mattress by Lightspeed Outdoors. Small amount of stretch when first inflating.Upon packing away, we had no issues neatly packing back in to the original box but it would have been nice to have a carry case for storage. We would say that when fully inflated, the grooves along the top surface of the mattress did cause some difficulty in turning over in the night but other than this, we had no irritations. Overall we had a really good nights sleep and the air mattress was really comfy. The air mattress did take a couple of times topping off before it stuck at its full thickness but according to the manufacturer this is down to the materials stretching slightly when it is first inflated. A standard queen size fitted sheet fits like a glove making the whole process pretty painless. We love the plush flocking on the top of the mattress creating not only a comfortable surface but also good for keeping sheets in place when made up. Each pillow was pumped up in no time and it was ready to go. This airbed takes about 10 minutes to pump up to its full size by hand with the inflation mechanisms proving very easy to use. Packaged in a neat box with the pump and pillows included with the mattress, at 11lbs it felt pretty heavyweight upon unboxing but we were impressed with the clarity of the instructions and the quality of the materials used on first impression. Intex specialize in all things adventure and they certainly know what they are doing when it comes to creating comfortable air beds, With really great reviews we just had to try this one out for ourselves.
